One of the pathologies that bother women the most are the dark circles. There are diverse types of dark circles, and to get rid of this evil, it is necessary to investigate and understand the causes that worsen the problem.
Some factors like tiredness, allergies, ageing, genetics and excess exposure to the sun may be the basis of the dark circles. The under eye dark circles are the result of the light reflecting on the blood vessels that are on the skin surface. The skin around the eyes is very thin and has an average of 0.5 millimeters of thickness, whilst the other body areas are normally around 2 millimeters.
The main complaint arises from the Periorbital hyper pigmentation, which is the enhancement of the melanin production that causes the dark coloring of this area.
There are palliative cares that help to conceal the problem, like colorimetry. This method performs an analysis based on the comparing of color, through a “circle of colors” that shows opposite shades among themselves. According to this method, the greenish and bluish dark circles must be neutralized with red and orange concealers. The purple ones are diminished with yellow colors and the browns with purple concealers.
However, esthetic treatments are still the best option, because they diminish the dark circles effects. The carboxytherapy, for example, is an invasive method that is very effective. Through a small needle, the subcutaneous infusion of the carbonic gas is performed, to stimulate physiologic effects on the area.
On the gas injection (CO2), the organism interprets the lack of oxygen (O2) increasing the concentration of tissue oxygen, and stimulating the cellular mechanism to promote the improving of the blood circulation. The entering of gas on the tissue teases an inflammatory process on the area that stimulates the collagen and elastin production to contribute the general improvement of the skin aspect.
The HTM scientific consultant Patrícia Lopez recommends the Pluria device as a treatment method. “This equipment was developed with the highest digital technology for the carboxytherapy. Pluria provides the precise heating of the carbonic gas (CO2) temperature, as well as the constant flux and volume of the gas, that provides more comfort and effectiveness during the therapy”.
It is recommeded an average of 10 sessions with 72 hours intervals between each one, depending on the area that is being treated, always respecting the professional’s recommendation.
