CONVENTIONAL CRYOLIPOLYSIS PROTOCOLS

Spanish

Known as the Spanish method, the technique consists in a cooling at a positive low temperature.

1)Cooling: +8°C – Time 30 minutes – suction in continuous mode.

American

Known as the American Method, the technique consists in a cooling at a moderate negative temperature.

Brazilian

Known as the Brazilian Method, the technique consists in cooling at a negative low temperature.

DMV technique (Vascular Depressomassage)

Linked to the contrast Cryolipolysis, the Beauty Shape offers the DMV technique for increasing the initial cutaneous hysteresis and final mechanical reperfusion.

The heat has the ability to increase the extensibility of collagen and, when associated to a pulsed suction, allows on the pre-cooling the viscoelastic deformation of the skin, increasing the volume of the skin fold inside the applicator.

What is the Cryolipolysis?

The Cryolipolysis is a method that performs the extraction of heat, gradually cools the skin and the subcutaneous tissue, promoting the permanent elimination of adipose cells. The technique was presented in the last decade by doctors Rox Anderson and Dieter Manstein, researchers from Harvard University, in the United States. It was conceived from the observation of cases reported about the popsicle panniculitis and equestrian panniculitis, where evidences have pointed out that comparatively, adipocytes are more susceptible to cold than the skin, nerves and muscles.

From this concept, we sought to develop a product that provided an external application of cold with esthetic purposes for the noninvasive reduction of the adipose panniculus.

What is contrast Cryolipolysis?

The technique of contrast Cryolipolysis consists in a pre-heating of the tissue before its cooling.  This initial contrast of temperature prepares the region for the elimination of fat cells, therefore generating better results. In the end, the treated area is heated again for the immediate reperfusion, i.e., the normalization of blood circulation, which promotes greater efficiency to the procedure and minimizes the possibility of complications, in addition to providing greater comfort to the professional, who is not required to perform manual massage.

What are the advantages of contrast Cryolipolysis in relation to conventional Cryolipolysis?

While a session of conventional Cryolipolysis can reduce from 20 to 25% of fat in the treated area, the contrast Cryolipolysis gets from 40 to 42% reduction. This method involves less risk of burns and more comfort for the patient, in sessions with equivalent time. A single application of contrast Cryolipolysis has larger and faster reduction when compared to the conventional one.

How many sessions are necessary?

In just one session of  contrast Cryolipolysis an average reduction of 40 to 42% of the fat of the treated area is reduced, in some cases, in only one session is possible to achieve the expected results. The number of sessions may vary according to the clinical picture and the evolution of each patient.

How is the application technique of contrast Cryolipolysis performed?

The technique consists in just three steps:

1) Sanitation and demarcation of the area of treatment.

2) Protection of the region of treatment with antifreeze disposable blanket, specific to the technique.

3) Positioning of the applicator in the region.

The equipment uses a system of moderate vacuum to pull the “folds” composed of skin and fat to inside the applicator, positioning it between two cooling plates. These plates initially increases the local temperature up to 40°C by the scheduled time and, soon after, perform the extraction of heat, providing a decrease in temperature up to -11°C, inducing the adipocytes treatment area to an apoptotic death. After the cooling period, the plates once again increase the tissue temperature on an average of 38°C. This way, there is the release of vasoconstriction caused by cooling, returning the blood circulation to the site and increasing tissue perfusion. With this, there is the intensification of the elimination of adipocytes.
